Pre-School

Super Kids follows the highly respected A Beka Book Christian Curriculum. We use a whole language approach that incorporates phonics and repetition to promote learning. At Super Kids, we also believe in a child's need to experience the arts! We have art and music time each day. Often these activities will be coordinated with the lesson of the day to make learning more exciting! Super Kids also offers a foreign language program that focuses on the basics and beginnings of Spanish. We incorporate Spanish lessons including small phrases, counting, and colors, and use role playing to help the children learn phrases and concepts. Super Kids understands the importance of introducing computers at a young age. By providing several computers in each classroom, we are able to use computer time to sharpen math and reading skills.

Two Year Old Curriculum: Super kids is excited to announce the addition of 2 year olds to our current program! We are designing a superior program that follows our current commitment to nurturing and developing your child's academic and social excellence. We are rearranging and will be fencing off a separate playground and making renovations to one of our classrooms to accommodate the needs of our 2 year old friends. Enrollment for 2 year olds will begin following the Graduation Commencement Ceremony in June. Spread the word to all of your family and friends!

Three Year Old Curriculum: Our three year olds program focuses on basic academic fundamentals, social development and includes multi-sensory activities to teach early learners. It is our goal to reach the potential in every child. The children will practice recognizing and writing their name, letters and numbers while exploring topics in science and social studies. Our program enhances a child's ability to learn the basics of mathematics by number tracing and playing quantitative and recognition games. We build math skills through hands-on activities and cooking fun. Super Kids recognizes a child's ability to absorb multiple languages at a young age. Simple phrases and counting to twenty in Spanish are practiced regularly. We also work very hard on social skills and we help the children to make friends and learn respect for each other. A strong academic foundation is the cornerstone for a bright future.

Four Year Old Students: Our four year olds continue to develop academically and socially. Our goal is for each child is to begin to read small words and to recognize basic math concepts. Vowels and consonants are taught using phonics, writing and sight and sound association. We build confidence and a love of reading through games, small group activities, encouragement and incentives. It is not enough to get them reading - we want them to enjoy it! The children are introduced to patterns and measurements, classifying length, weight, quantity, temperature and volume, as well as simple addition and subtraction. The children learn to cut, pour, dress, button, zip, and care for their own classroom materials. Academically, the children enjoy a variety of science and social studies activities through the use of weekly themes and community service projects. In previous years, the children have raised baby ducks, planted flowers for Earth Day, collected over 100 lbs. of food for the local food bank, written holiday cards for our troops, adopted a polar bear, and explored the great outdoors in Super Kids' outdoor nature center!

Kindergarten

Super Kids' Kindergarten is an all day program. Our Kindergarten teacher is highly experienced, State certified and college degreed. We also have an in-class teacher's aide. Our Kindergarten follows the highly respected A Beka Book Christian Curriculum. Envied by many public schools, this outstanding curriculum uses a whole language approach that incorporates phonetics and repetition to promote learning. The A Beka curriculum also provides excellent mathematics, social studies and science programs. Our goal is for each child to read simple sentences, understand numbers up to 100, tell time, perform basic addition and subtraction, and calculate the value of coin money. At Super Kids, we also recognize the importance for children to experience the arts! We have art and music time each day. Often these activities will be coordinated with the lesson of the day to make learning more exciting.
